Among many, many warblers today, I had 2 canada warblers, a bay breasted warbler (only the second I've seen), and 2 magnolia warblers. Best of all one of the Canadas and the bay breasted were right down the road. The other Canada was at the Messalonskee Stream trail in Oakland, which was very birdy and worth a longer visit.
Also had a calling Am. bittern (could hear it from my yard--does that make it a yard bird?), another pair of scarlet tanagers, 2 FOY kingbirds, and a drumming ruffed grouse.
It was a glorious day to get out--birds were everywhere.
