Had a fantastic time out birding the Pool this morning and the warblers did not disappoint! In all we logged 16 different species of warblers! Highlights from E. Point Sanctuary were a Blackburnian, several Magnolias, a hard-to-track-down Canada and N. Waterthrush, Nashville, several Blue-grey Gnatcatchers and a Palm Warbler, which apparently got a rarity tag.
-- Also there was a fascinating display that the Chickadees were performing where they would launch from a tree in unison and return (almost as if fly catching but we could see they weren't hunting). It was described to us as a "false start" behavior as they were likely trying to migrate and the strong wind was keeping them down.

At S. Point sanctuary, the warblers continued put on a show. Highlights there were a Wilson's Warbler, Chestnut-sided, and an adult female Black-throated Blue. Also a brief view of a Merlin as it flew over.

Lastly, as we were returning we picked up a Lincoln's Sparrow (FOY for me) so I logged it as "incidental"

Hope everyone gets to enjoy this great weather and good birding!
