[Maine-birds] Sanford Lagoons open house update , food , free compost This coming Sat.

    I talked to Ty and the gate will be open at 7 AM for anyone.  The open house is 9 AM to 2 PM

 

Also they are giving out buckets of free compost, which Ty said is "awesome stuff" 

         ALSO hot dogs, soda, donuts, chips

 

I had a nice showing of 14 warblers this morning. http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S36956926   Also 7 green herons is a high count for sure!!

Directions: take Gavel Rd. east off of Rte. 4 at blinking light, 3.7 miles
south of jct. of Rtes. 4 and 111, (in Alfred) or 0.7 miles north of jct. of
Rtes. 4 and 109., (in S. Sanford)

Hours as posted: 6-4:30 MON-FRI, WEEKENDS: 7-8:30 SAT+SUN Holidays are
usually the same hours as weekend hours.
