[Maine-birds] Day 2 at Katahdin Woods and Waters

Hi all -- My wife and I spent a few hours in the northern section of KWW this morning before we headed for home. We entered KWW near the Grand Lake Matagamon entrance, drove ~4 miles to the end of the road, and then walked the woods road / trail south.

It was not super active, but we enjoyed seeing 4 Ruffed Grouse, about 16 Purple Finches busily eating birch catkins, and my FOF American Tree Sparrows (4).

It's a gem up there.
