[Maine-birds] Eastern Road, Scarborough Marsh, 10/22 (10 spp shorebirds inc. LBDO)

Hi all,

Marion Sprague and I enjoyed a very productive late afternoon along the Eastern Road Trail through Scarborough Marsh. Some of the highlights included a Snow Bunting (FOF), "Ipswich" Savannah Sparrow, and an impressive late season tally of 10 species of shorebirds:

300-400 Dunlin

~40  Black-bellied Plovers

34 Greater Yellowlegs

33 Semipalmated Plovers

~30 SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS

9 WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPERS

4 Sanderlings

1 LESSER YELLOWLEGS

1 LEAST SANDPIPER

1 LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER
