[Maine-birds] Sabattus Pond ducks

Right on schedule, several species of ducks have started showing up on Sabattus Pond.  A relatively brief survey (made from the end of Riley Road) revealed:

260   Canada Geese
  20   Mallards
  60   American Black Ducks
120   Greater/Lesser Scaup (most appeared to be the former)
  90   Ruddy Ducks
  12   Ring-Necked Ducks
    8   Green-Winged Teal
  30   bored-looking Herring Gulls

My eBird checklist: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S39535926

All of these numbers are likely on the low side; the ducks were mostly far out on the water, and many were actively feeding while I was there.
