[Maine-birds] Northern Maine Birds: Pink-footed Goose, Cackling and Snow Geese, NO Ross's Goose

Just a quick note to report on some geese up here.

I found a Pink-footed Goose at a private pond in Presque Isle on Wednesday.  The bird though only about 5 miles from Collins Pond in Caribou (where there was one in late Sept) appears to be a different bird showing much less gray than the Caribou bird.

The Cackling Goose flock at Collins Pond continued there with at least 8 of the 15 visible yesterday around noon.  There was also an adult Snow Goose in the pond.

No sign of the Ross's Goose in Fort Fairfield though the albino Canada Goose continues to get ones heart racing...

Some more bad goose pics in my eBird list:

Good birding
