Post-storm, the three YELLOW-THROATED WARBLERS were all accounted for. Two were right below our room this morning. One of them spent most of the day feeding in the gardens by the church, which were "put to bed" yesterday and mulched with seaweed. It was joined there for most of the afternoon by the continuing Eastern Bluebird, a Northern Parula, a Pine Warbler, and a Palm Warbler.
Also noted a couple of late Field Sparrows, at least one Clay-colored Sparrow, several Swamp Sparrows.
Two Peregrine Falcons were zipping overhead together this afternoon, both dark, juvenile-looking birds. One of them dove on a low-flying cormorant at one point, driving it into the water, and then harassed several gulls on the water and over on Manana. Presumably just because it could.
In the woods over by White Head, a Hermit Thrush was tucked out of the wind. Still very windy out here, most birds seemed hunkered down today.
