Red-tailed Hawk 2
Northern Lapwing 1 Seen at close range, it would fly off, than come
back and land near us. studied the bird on the ground with scope and binos.
The crest really stood out. First noticed the bird because it called, as it
nearly flew right over us. In flight noticed long wings with white tipped
black primaries, white trailing secondaries, white body, buffy under the
tail, white tail with black tip. Also the black breast band. <a

some guide lines for birding there. NEVER DRIVE ON THE GRASS, OR PARK ON
GRASS.

Birders and walkers are welcomed to come and walk any where you wish to.
You may drive on all the roads, if you come during the week PLEASE do not
get in their way. As you go into the place there are parking places on the
left by the woods. They do load BIG trucks on the weekend, so do not park to
block any of the dirt roads.
I was told that they do not want lots of people there at the same time
during the week, so if you come in a group check with them first, A group on
weekend is okay.

Hope this helps, Sorry so many people came and did not get to see it, we
tried.

Happy birding
