[Maine-birds] Bald Eagle on Hosmer Pond

Around 4:00 this afternoon my daughter and i watched a Bald Eagle sitting out on the sludgy ice on Hosmer Pond at the Snow Bowl in Camden. I am certain this is the same eagle I see cruising and fishing the pond all summer. We sat and watched it for about 10 minutes before it raised it's wing and, on a tilt, lifted up and away. A nice treat on a seductively spring like afternoon.
And am I crazy or did I actually hear peepers for a minute today?

Be still, and the world is bound to turn herself inside out to entertain you. Everywhere you look, joyful noise is clanging to drown out quiet desperation.
