I was out at Seal Island with the Isle au Haut Ferry today. Puffins and Razorbills put on a great show. It was nest-counting day, and that kept the terns in the air in profusion. I had hopes that the Tropicbird might go up with them. Then it hit me: I really haven’t heard much about the tropicbird this year. Is it around and being seen? If so, I’m thinking about doing a column on it for the Bangor Daily News…and wonder if anyone has a good photo to donate for the column.
