[Maine-birds] Schoodic Point SeaWatch

Howling WSW winds and crashing surf at Schoodic Point, spectacular on its own,
however, fine passage of migrants plus 700+ "loafing common eider".
6:45 - 8:45 AM. Overcast. Visibility limited somewhat by offshore cloud bank, 6 miles.
48 F at start.

Migrants:

4 Caspian Tern (2 ad together, then single ad, and another single ad.) Deemed 4 different birds.
15 Red-throated Loon
54 Common Loon
1 Red-necked Grebe
61 Northern Gannet
1 Great Cormorant
33 Double-crested Cormorant
25 Common Eider (note 700+ inshore loafing birds -Arey Cove and Schoodic Point).
12 Long-tailed Duck
3 Northern Pintail
4 Greater Scaup
4 Red-breasted Merganser
261 Scoter sp. (Black/Surf)
44 White-winged Scoter
213 Black Scoter
138 Surf Scoter
17 Ring-billed Gull

6 Black Guillemot
1 Peregrine Falcon (adult)
3 Bald Eagle (1 ad., 1 sub-ad., 1 juv.)
2 Common Raven
