[Maine-birds] Belfast Bay census of Sunday, April 24, 2016

Gary Gulezian and I did the census.  It was a sunny, breezy, yet pleasant, morning.  Our total number of birds was 306, which is the lowest of the year, but an indication that the breeding season for seabirds is here.  Highlights were a Horned Grebe and three Red-necked Grebes, as well as the return of the Osprey and Belted Kingfisher for the summer.  The entire report can be found on ebird by clicking

This is our last census for the 2015-16 season.  The censuses for the 2016-17 season will begin in September.
