[Maine-birds] Belfast Bay census of Sunday, September 18, 2016

Gary Gulezian and I did the census during the morning (6:05 - 9:20 am).  An overcast day with occasional showers.  There are still Double-crested Cormorants and Osprey hanging around.  Good numbers of Great Blue Herons are migrating through the area; there were 15 feeding in the Belfast Harbor/Rt1 bridge vicinity.  Two male Black Scoters were notable to us, since we had no Black Scoters during last season's (Sept.-April, 2015-16) censuses.  The complete report can be found at
