RE: [Maine-birds] more Broad-wing kettles

We are getting a smattering of them here at the house in Cumberland getting lift off of Bruce Hill. Not watching steadily but checking from time to time since Dan's first post of it this morning has netted about 20 overall. Most have been higher up though and moving at speed in a SSW direction. Taking a little more time to enjoy the day it seems was a couple of ravens that were chasing each other about 100' above the tree line.

Cheers,

Rob

Did anyone have any at Mt. A. yesterday or today?

After reading Dan's post about Broad-winged Hawks moving I glanced up out of my office window in downtown Gardiner a few minutes ago (10:10 AM) and had the pleasure of watching a kettle of at least 75 Broad-winged Hawks circling and then peeling off to the south. Don't remember ever seeing a kettle of Broad-wings like that here in Gardiner and certainly not from my office window.

Good luck to them as they make the journey to South America!
