A nice afternoon visit to the Mouth of the Abagadasset River in Bowdoinham yielded 14 species of waterfowl:

789 American Black Ducks

425 Mallards

154 Ring-necked Ducks

152 Green-winged Teal

126 Canada Geese

22 Common Mergansers

20++ Mallard x American Black Duck hybrids

16 Common Goldeneyes

6 Northern Pintails

5 Lesser Scaup

4 American Wigeon

3 Wood Ducks

2 Gadwall

2 Hooded Mergansers

1 Northern Shoveler

Also:

10 Double-crested Cormorants

6+ Bald Eagles

2 Northern Harrier
