[Maine-birds] Alleged Monk Parakeet - Eastern Prom Portland

Hi All,

Got stopped by a woman along the Eastern Prom who swore up and down she had a Monk Parakeet along the path behind the baseball field, towards the water treatment plant. No photos or audio of course. Did a cursory 15 minute scout of the area, with no psittacidae to be found.

Obviously not the best report, but it was notable enough and she was enthusiastic enough that I felt I might pass it along.

Also notable was the fact that, out of the many people walking along she zeroed in on me and my brother (sans camera or binoculars) and opened with "Are you birders?"
