[Maine-birds] Covids (crows) last night in Lawrence MA

Friends,
First I need to remind you that no night is like the previous one. You can get some guidance from recent reports But you will have to do a "Where's Waldo"  for yourself each night.

Last night from the roof of the McGovern Parking Garage entered from Merrimack St. (near) So. Union St. we had a spectacular show of 18,000 crows. Some crows ( lots of Fish Crows too) were on the ground and in the trees of the O'Connell South Common viewed from Market St. one block south early on. We went from there to the SW corner of the roof of the garage.
Then the mind boggling parade from the NW, West and Southwest last night began. There was no sunset but still - wave upon wave came in filling the trees on the Common and then spilling out to the west of us on roofs and parking lots.
As darkness fell,Bob got out of the car and counted 17,000 on the roofs of the buildings to the west.  We then went down to So. Canal St. (off Merrimack St.) to watch the lift off and streaming into the roost. We watched last night facing west where the lighter sky let you see the birds well.

Two ladies - Saddie,a photographer and Elilzabeth, a crow lover joined us on the roof.

I have updated directions for viewing the show as of last night and added two maps if you are interested. Also, if you would like assistance, please let me know.

Dana and Bob
