A Magnificent Frigatebird was found by JoAnn O'Shaugnessy this evening
soaring over her house on Great Boar's Head!!! It hung out there for
close to an hour and was seen and photographed by a few birders. Sadly,
Jane and I arrived 30 seconds too late. :-(
The bird was then seen wayyy up in Rye, NH near Odiorne by Jim Sparrell
about 40 minutes later. Once again, it disappeared before many could
see it as it got dark out.
Birders along the coast from south coastal, Maine to north coastal, MA
should keep their eyes out tomorrow for this bird, which may be in the area.
