[Maine-birds] RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD, Pownal, 7/31-8/1 (belated report).

Hi all,

Last weekend, a Rufous Hummingbird paid an all-to-brief visit to our Pownal backyard. Unfortunately, she was not present upon our return from a vacation.

Without in-hand measurements, some might argue that identification of adult female Selasphorous hummingbirds cannot be absolutely certain, but everything we have points nicely at a Rufous.
