Heads up - along with a Say's Phoebe on Plum Island, it looks like some interesting things may be happening along the coast. Remember it was this same week last year that many southern migrants showed up on the coast after several days of rainy weather. Hmm...

Subject: [Maine-birds] SULPHUR BELLIED FLYCATCHER
There was a confirmed sighting, on October 3rd, of a SULPHUR BELLIED FLYCATCHER at White Head Island, Grand Manan, New Brunswick. It hasn't yet been resighted but only a handful of people have been able to get to the island so far. Given that there are lots of migrants moving, and the prevailing wind is Easterly, it's entirely possible that this bird could move into mid- coast Maine. It's directly on the route and only about 50 miles so I'd be very alert from Machias and points south. -- Maine birds mailing list maine-birds@googlegroups.com http://groups.google.com/group/maine-birds https://sites.google.com/site/birding207
