[Maine-birds] Buffleheads

Got out in between breaks in the rain today. Highlights include my FOS Buffleheads, 1 male at the pond next to Fortune's Rock Beach, 2 female/juveniles at the Sanford Sewage Treatment Plant. Also at the sewage plant was a Wigeon, dozens of Ring-necked Ducks, 2 Pied-billed Grebes and a WHITE-WINGED SCOTER looking a bit confused, no doubt blown in by the strong east winds. No sign of the longspur though. Other notes from the last few days include a few Merlin seen heading south and the Common Eiders actually migrating south, not just hanging around on the water.

2 Spotted Sandpipers seen on the Saco river are getting a bit late.
