[Maine-birds] Cumberland County birds

Some highlights from the past week or so:

Cape Elizabeth - 10/20/12:
Carolina Wren - 3-4 at Two Lights State Park
Ipswich Savannah Sparrow - 1 with a "typical" Savannah at Dyer Cove,
feeding among the seaweed wrack
American Pipit - 1 Dyer Cove/Point

Old Town House Park (North Yarmouth) - 10/21/12:
Wilson's Snipe - 1
Merlin - 1
Blackbird Sp - 1000+ (flyover groups), mostly Grackles, including one
group of ~1000 and a few smaller blackbirds (~10), likely Rusty BBs.
White-winged Crossbill - a calling group of 8 or so, flying low over
trees (split second look)

Gisland Farm, ME Audubon Ctr (Falmouth) - 10/15/12:
Northern Parula - 1 (getting late)

I did have at least one pair (if not more) of Evening Grosbeaks at Old
Town House Park last Saturday (the 13th) - sorry for the delayed notice.

Good birding!
