[Maine-birds] EVE Grossbeaks inThe Burg eBird Report - Totman Cove, Phippsburg, Oct 17, 2012

Phippsburg, Maine Map 6 Totman Cove

There was  a great rumbling thunder
when the earth last eve rent assunder
to reveal o' the morn,
chunky birds, color of lemon peel torn,
Grossbeaks o' the eve!
Evening Grossbeaks, that is, 8 of them duking it out, as only birds of their size could with the cheeky siskins
five males, three females, got killer pics!
I have not seen Eve grossbeaks in over 20 years and a new yard bird for the Burg.
