Went walking in the West End Cemetary in Portland today, around 1PM,
in the fine drizzle. Many birds, especially WT and Chipping sparrows,
and Dark-eyed Juncos. However, the diversity was extraordinary: there
were at least 20 Eastern phoebes, 20 Palm warblers, 4 Scarlet tanagers
(all juvenile), 2 Blue-headed vireos, and a Swainson's thrush. Also at
least 10 Red-breasted nuthatches, several Flickers, 3 Brown creepers.
