[Maine-birds] Phippsburg finch invasion

Phippsburg, maine Map 6 Totman Cove

This morning and now, still a flock of around 50 Pine siskins mixed with about 20 Am goldfinches just decimating the feeder contents.
12 miles away from me on the Heron Cove Road up by the north end of Rt 209 a feeder at friend's house has yet another 40-50 pine siskins, too! It's kind of creepy actually, like looking at swarming bed bugs under a hotel mattress. Fleas in the trees, as it were. Who says I have an overactive imagination, huh?

I also want to thank those of you who have visited my photography show of Maine birds at the Yarmouth public library. I drove an elderly friend there today to see the photos, so saw the guest book many of you have signed. I recognized names from the list serve. I felt quite honored by your visits and lovely comments. Thank you all! And, it's not too late, the show runs through Oct 20 and is open for free during library hours. RRR
Oh, it was pointed out to me that one of the birds is mislabeled as a Semi-palm sand when it's actually a Spotted. I really do know the difference. It was a typo, not my usual ignorance. I do appreciate the input, though!
