Comments: The cruise ship Regatta for an "Ocean Trail Hike" from behind Sand each to Otter Point. Today's trip was punctuated by on OSPREY (which appeared to be a Juvenile based on its erratic flight) and one large flock of WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS in the scope and foraging for all to see.

Common Loon (Gavia immer) 8 these were present yesterday
Red-necked Grebe (Podiceps grisegena) 8
Double-crested Cormorant (Phalacrocorax auritus) 28

Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) 1 This bird came over Gorham mountain gave us a few good turns for PHOTOS, than Southwest and out of view.  Appeared to be a young bird based on erratic flight.
Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) 2
Herring Gull (Larus argentatus) X We watched one industrious Herring Gull picked up a Lobster about 6 inches long from the waters surface. It took the lobster to the rocks and started trying to swallow it whole...spit it out and try to reposition, than another attempt at swallowing whole and spitting it out and trying again... we finally left, assuming that it did become assimilated

Downy Woodpecker (Picoides pubescens) 2
American Crow (Corvus brachyrhynchos) 12
Common Raven (Corvus corax) 2 one over the Bee Hive and a second at Otter Point

Red-breasted Nuthatch (Sitta canadensis) 5
Golden-crowned Kinglet (Regulus satrapa) 1
Cedar Waxwing (Bombycilla cedrorum) 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler (Setophaga coronata) 15 numbers ae going down but they are still present

White-winged Crossbill (Loxia leucoptera) 55 This group of birds flew up and than foraged in the White Spruce along the coastal edge of the shore where I put them in the scope.
