Kettle Cove is in Cape Elizabeth just north of Crescent beach and south
of Two Lights State Park/Dyer Point. It can be accessed from route 77
and is on Kettle Cove Rd. Hope this helps.

My son and I just got back from Kettle Cove where there were 37 Brant.
I ran into Leon Mooney and he reminded me that Scott Cronenweth
reported a Rough-Legged Hawk out on Richmond Island recently. I decided
to scan the island with the scope before I left and sure enough, above
the last building visible to the right of the island, a large raptor
with a white base of tail, mostly white underparts, and dark wrist
patches was hovering above the building. It eventually flew to the left
and I lost sight of it. First RLHA of the winter for me. Thanks Leon
and Scott!

On a negative note, it has recently become difficult for me to confine
my son in the stroller as he will cry that he wants to "walk in da
mess." Aka snow. So that is what we did at Kettle Cove and he was
really good, but when we got home and I started getting him out of his
rear-facing car seat, I realized he had REALLY "walked in da mess!" Aka
dog poo. So now I have to figure out how to clean dog mess off the
upholstry of my car. Yeah...

Bird haahd,
