I went to Pine Point again this morning looking for that elusive King Eider. I have tried Prout's Neck each time I go but still no luck.
I did find this Common Loon much to my surprise that it is already in summer plumage. You can still see a little bit of winter tan around its eye area.
Anyone who has been to Pine Point knows that there is a large number of loons there all winter but this is the only one I have seen making the color
change.
Happy birding. Ken
