Maine Birds: Cooper's Hawk
Veazie Community School, Penobscot, US-ME
Mar 2, 2013 11:30 AM - 12:15 PM
Protocol: Traveling
0.8 mile(s)
Comments: Nico and I birding at the Veazie School prior to a basketball tourney. Maddy's team won. Utilizing stealth and precision flying, a Coopers Hawk gave a fly-by, and then sat at the edge of the house lots. The Penobscot River is a stone's throw away. Another excellent example of migratory Hawks foraging and utilizing the same River Systems as (Neotropical etc.) migratory birds.
