[Maine-birds] Re: Bidd-Saco

Sorry the Barrows and Common are off Water Street, Saco behind Traditions Restaurant on Main Street as previosly reported by Chuck. (Main Street to Water Street, immediate left into parking lot after turning onto Water Street.)

East Point, Biddeford Pool was home to a couple of dozen white winged scoters this morning along with the usual long-tailed ducks, horned grebes, common loons, and common eiders.  I still haven't been fortunate enough to site the snowy owl(s) out on Wood Island and is still one of my hopes for the winter.

Thanks to Chuck Homler keeping us in the loop I was able to spend an hour with his Barrows Golden eye and the accompanying common and ring neck duck.  I say Chuck's because he gets to spend every day within yards if not feet of him from his work office so I think they have sort of adopted each other.

I had high hopes for the photo but it didnt' come out quite as well as I had hoped but still provides a nice example of the differences between the Common and the Barrows.

Thanks to you all for your ongoing posts - I don't post enough but always appreciate yours.
Best,
Mark
