Re: [Maine-birds] MDI alcids

Hello,

I am curious whether  you or Rich  have photos of these MDI record birds.  These are uncommon in a typical winter  but we know that in January there were thousands off shore.   Our March SeaBC will verify if those large numbers of Alcids are still out towards the Ducks and the Rock. (See eBird SeaBC January 29, 2013)   Perhaps you have Photos  on a website. It would be great to see them.

I was also wondering where in the Bartlett Narrows you were located.     I am heading out that way this afternoon and will try to relocate.

Thank you,

Michael

Rob Packie and I spent yesterday morning birding the "Quiet Side" of Mount Desert Island (MDI). The highlights of our outing were a pair of Razorbills and a single Thick-billed Murre on the west side of MDI in Bartlett Narrows.
