[Maine-birds] Additional Highlights This Week and New Arrivals, 5/18-24

Hi all,
 
Additional highlights, not previously posted here, for me in the past seven days include:
- 1 Evening Grosbeak, Florida Lake Park, Freeport, 5/19 (with Jeannette).
- 277 Black-bellied Plovers with 30 Ruddy Turnstones, 10 Short-billed Dowitchers (FOY), 6 Semipalmated Sandpipers (FOY), 4 Dunlin, and 4 Willets, Pine Point, Scarborough, 5/19.
- 15 spp warblers, led by 41 Common Yellowthroats and 25 Yellow Warblers, Kettle Cove - Crescent Beach SP, Cape Elizabeth, 5/20.
- 15 spp warblers, led by 14 Black-throated Green Warblers and 10 Ovenbirds, Hedgehog Mountain Park, Freeport, 5/22.
- 16 spp warblers, led by 25+ Black-throated Green Warblers and 16+ Common Yellowthroats, Florida Lake Park, 5/23.
- 1 RED-HEADED WOODPECKER, yard in Pownal, 5/23.  This bird arrived on 5/22 and has been seen sporadically through the afternoon on 5/24. A limited number of people are welcome to visit this bird, so please contact me if you are interested. 
- 19 Black-bellied Plovers and 4 Short-billed Dowitchers, Cross Road, Cumberland, 5/23 - a hint of the large numbers of migrant shorebirds grounded by this weather, including inland.
- 17 spp warblers, led by 52 American Redstarts, 35 Common Yellowthroats, 34 Yellow Warblers, and 27 Magnolia Warbler, but also including 8 Canada Warblers, 7 Wilson's Warblers, 2 Bay-breasted Warblers, and 1 Prairie Warbler, Biddeford Pool neighborhood, 5/24 (with Luke Seitz).
- 1 GRASSHOPPER SPARROW, hopping along the street and in front yards in the Biddeford Pool neighborhood, 5/24 (with Luke Seitz; photos).  Photo: http://www.facebook.com/Freeportwildbird/posts/624432407586717
- 1 Merlin, 9 Least Flycatchers, 6 Lincoln's Sparrows, 3 Yellow-bellied Flycatchers, etc, Biddeford Pool neighborhood, 5/24 (with Luke Seitz).
- 1 RED KNOT, 2 WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPERS, 60+ Ruddy Turnstones, 80+ Semipalmated Sandpipers, etc, Biddeford Pool beach and The Pool, Biddeford Pool, 5/24 (with Luke Seitz). 

And additional personal FOY's also included:
- Bank Swallow: 2, Florida Lake Park, 5/19 (with Jeannette).
- Black-billed Cuckoo: 1, Hidden Pond Preserve, Freeport, 5/19 (with Jeannette).
- Olive-sided Flycatcher: 1, Hidden Pond Preserve, 5/19 (with Jeannette).
- Prairie Warbler: 1, Hidden Pond Preserve, 5/19 (with Jeannette).
- Alder Flycatcher: 1, Pelreco marsh, Scarborough Marsh, 5/19.
- Lincoln's Sparrow: 2, Crescent Beach SP, 5/20.
- Tennessee Warbler: 1, Crescent Beach SP, 5/20.
- Philadelphia Vireo: 1, Biddeford Pool neighborhood, 5/24 (with Luke Seitz).
