Following an appointment in Portland, Jeff and I swung by Evergreen Cemetery in the afternoon. Started slowly but soon picked up. A rough species list includes:

Yellow Warbler

Chestnut-sided Warbler

Magnolia Warbler

Black-throated Green Warbler

BAY-BREASTED WARBLER (three very accommodating and singing)

Blackpoll Warbler

Ovenbird

Common Yellowthroat

CANADA WARBLER (2+ singing and very accommodating)

Another highlight for me was watching a Broad-winged Hawk fly up from the side of the woods along the highway carrying a very long snake.

Last night we strolled the trails through the woods at Kents Hill School during Evan's soccer practice and had

Yellow-bellied Flycatcher

Wood Thrush (4)

Yellow Warbler
Chestnut-sided Warbler

Black-throated Blue Warbler

Yellow-rumped Warbler

Black-throated Green Warbler
Pine Warbler

Blackburnian Warbler

Redstart

Ovenbird

Black-and-white Warbler

Purple Finch

Tonight, nighthawks over the house again, here in Gardiner.
