What is it about islands? A couple of years ago I went out to Frenchboro in May. After a pretty unproductive hike through the Preserve, we rested in the village and watched as every warbler known to man plied a big old apple tree. As we walked through town we almost got bored with all the orioles, rose-breasts and tanagers. Never saw so many species in one place.
