Mount Desert Island Birds: Am. Pipit and Morning Warbler trees dripping with Warblers
Trip report for MDI includes Morning and Wilsons Warbler, 16 total warblers for the day. One of the most memorable migrations for me in 40 years of Birding. Amazing diversity and total numbers at Seawall. The birds were dropping out of the sky and into the trees for a spectacular display of the sheer numbers of birds moving during these peak days. Really a blessing to be here today!

Comments: Road Scholar Down east Ornithology Course May 23 2013 Blue Horizon Trust Morning Warbler was seen by me several in our group, starting off a day of amazing birding. !! At 10:12 this morning the group was walking north along the road when we saw a Black-capped Chickadee and behind it Bob saw a gary-capped bird..... sure enough it was a Morning Warbler which I got in the bins and got excellent looks at the yellow belly and black bib or patch on the upper chest. Sprang to action as it flew across an opening to aa spruce tree. Everyone had an opportunity to see it rise up through the spruce and than fly out of the back into another row of trees. No images this time! Great morning for many species here all with high numbers.
