We had 75 birds this morning at BRI's River Point migration banding station this morning. Many colorful birds - big (Rose-breasted Grosbeaks and Baltimore Orioles) and small (Magnolias, Redstarts, Canadas, and Chestnut-sided Warblers) among others.
But, the treat of the day for me was a Red-eyed Vireo first banded at the station in spring of 2010. Makes "him" at least 5 years old. Live long and prosper.
