Sunday 5/18
At 2:10 this afternoon a large all white swan flew over our boat just east of Egg Rock in Frenchman Bay. It was directly overhead probably 500-1000 ft. up and moving away when sighted. Seen from below it was definitely a swan. It was pure white with black legs. There was only a very quick look at the bill as it rapidly moved away and I had the impression it was black. Statistically it should be a Tundra Swan but not enough was seen to make a specific identification. It was flying east toward Schoodic Pt. Birders to the east should be on the lookout.
