Re: [Maine-birds] Baltimore Oriole at Suet

I have orioles on suet, oranges and grape jelly.  Also, a red-bellied woodpecker, one of a pair that spent the winter here, has been eating the oranges as well as his usual suet.  At one point, the male oriole and woodpecker were eating together, woodpecker on the oranges, and oriole on the jelly.  I don't know if it makes a difference, but the suet is one with fruit in it.  Bluebirds have also been at the suet.

First time I've seen this. Today in the rain and drizzle, a male (after second year) Baltimore Oriole made repeated visits to my suet feeder. And no, it wasn't orange flavored.

Fun.
