I birded the Dragon Fields (Old city landfill/quarry run dog park) this morning for a little more than three hours and encountered some highly concentrated groups of migrants. The largest groups were seen around the main parking area and along the edge of the woods on the Northern side of the landfill perimeter trail. The largest flock contained a late Blackburnian Warbler and a Bay-breasted Warbler that came down and fed on the ground in the middle of the trail! The most numerous warbler of the visit was Palm Warbler (5 "Western" and 13 "Yellow").

Also of note this week, I encountered a Black-billed Cuckoo at River Point Conservation area in Falmouth on Friday. Photos can be seen here;

It has been a good couple days of birding!
