[Maine-birds] Lark Sparrow directions

From another post today, I see that Bob Crowley and I weren't the only ones to have difficulty finding the trail for the Lark Sparrow.  We learned that the Greenbelt Trail is not marked as such, and we never did find an "official" entrance. We also learned that Village Crossing is not a shopping center or an intersection; it is an Assisted Living faciity.

So for those as directionally challenged as I am, try this: set your GPS for 78 Scott Dyer Road in Cape Elizabeth, and turn into the Village Crossing facility and park there. Walk through the back of the property and head for the marsh, which you can see from beside the building. Before you get to the marsh you will find the trail. Turn left and the mint green house is less than 100 yards along the trail.

It's worth finding this place, because it looks like it would be a great place to go birding in Spring and Fall - marsh, shrubs, tall trees, feeders.... great!

Bonus: Yesterday the two gas stations in Cape Elizabeth had regular gas going for $3.59 a gallon.

Thanks Derek for the tip on the mint green house; we never would have found the sparrow otherwise.
