Phippsburg, Me Map 6 Dromore Bay Rogers neck Road
sat on the bridge on Rogers Neck Road (just south of post office on Rt 209) for a while scanning geese for Snows. No Snows, but,
Hooded Mergs drake and hen
hanging around with a Common Merg hen, which I've NEVER seen in that spot, never mind both species together. Quite unusual.
Belted Kingfisher, male, fishing the bit of open water around the bridge, very chatty. Presumed to be the same bird that's been there for a week or so. It was hover flying and chattering annoying the flock of Canada geese.
