[Maine-birds] Grondin Pond

Visited Grondin Pond around 1:30 this afternoon, not too much open water. The female lesser scaup was present as well as three male american wigeons. There were large numbers of mallards and canada geese roosting on the ice along the edge of the open water which made looking for the rarities amongst them difficult. I heard the wigeons before I could see them after some of the mallards shifted. Scanned hard for the Eurasian but could not see it nor could I spot the female Gadwall. Very well could have been there but behind a large group of mallards or canada geese.
