[Maine-birds] Additional Highlights, Goose Fields, and Dickcissel updates, etc, 12/2-8

Hi all,

My other observations of note over the past seven days also included the following:

- DICKCISSEL continues here at the store through week's end. It is present on and off throughout the day, every day this week.

- 4 Snow Buntings, Winslow Park, Freeport, 12/2 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).
- 92 Red-necked Grebes, Moody Point, Wells, 12/3 (with Pat Moynahan).
- 110 Dunlin, Wells Beach, 12/3 (with Pat Moynahan).
- 1 presumed continuing HOODED WARBLER, Fort Foster, Kittery, 12/5 (with Ben and Dezeree Kelley and Jeannette). Although we found it on the east side of the park, in the woods, this is likely the same adult male that Jeannette and I first found at the park on 11/14 and was reported a couple of times thereafter.
- 1 1st-winter Iceland Gull, Simard-Payne Memorial Park, Lewiston, 12/7.
- 6 GADWALL, 1 Black Scoter, etc, Sabattus Pond, Sabattus, 12/7.
- 30+ Horned Larks and 8+ Snow Buntings, Rte 136, Durham, 12/8.

Greater Yarmouth Goose Fields Update:
As previously reported, a CACKLING GOOSE arrive in the fields this week. I had it on Wed, but did not turn it up in a fairly quick check of the loop this afternoon. It has been moving between Thornhurt Farm and Greely Road. Other than an early-season Snow Goose, this is only the second "good goose" here this fall. A phone-scoped documentation photo is at the end of this folder, preceded by several other photos from the week including previously reported Snowy Owl and Lapland Longspur:
