I found my second Common Gallinule in as many days. The first was yesterday at Sanford Lagoons. I pulled off at Great Pond today at 8:30 am and scanned by eye and caught the bright red of the bill in the reeds and phragmites at the left hand side of the opening (abutting Southpoint Sanctuary)
-- It soon ventured out into the lawn, foraging, then went back into cover.
Other good stuff to be had in the area, it was hard to pull myself away!
