Hi all,
My observations of note over the past seven days included the following:
- 1 continuing LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH, Elmwood Trails, Pownal, 5/11 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).
- 2 EVENING GROSBEAKS, private yard in Freeport, 5/11 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).
- 1 adult male ORCHARD ORIOLE (FOY), Capisic Pond Park, Portland, 5/12 (with Birds on Tap - Roadtrip! tour group).
- 15 species of warblers, led by 10 Common Yellowthroats, 8 Magnolia, and 8 Yellow-rumped, Florida Lake Park, Freeport, 5/13 (with Jeannette).
- 5 Surf Scoters and massive concentration of 1,000+ mixed swallows of all five small swallow species, including exceptional numbers of Bank Swallows, Sabattus Pond, Sabattus, 5/14 (with Jeannette).
- 18 species of warblers, led by 17 Common Yellowthroats, 13 Yellow-rumped, 9 Black-throated Blue Warblers, and 9 Ovenbirds along with 1 LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH, etc, Morgan Meadow WMA, Raymond, 5/16. Louisiana Waterthrush observed again on 5/17 (with client from Maine).
- 1 continuing KENTUCKY WARBLER, Evergreen Cemetery, Portland, 5/17 (with client).
- 9 species of shorebirds led by 400 Black-bellied Plovers and 150 Semipalmated Sandpipers, Pine Point, Scarborough, 5/17 (with client; more listed below).
And my personal FOYs also included:

- 1 Bank Swallow (finally!), Florida Lake Park, Freeport, 5/13 (with Jeannette).
- 1 Alder Flycatcher, Old Town House Park, North Yarmouth, 5/13 (with Jeannette).
- 1 Scarlet Tanager, Hedgehog Mountain Park, Freeport, 5/15.
- 1 YELLOW-THROATED VIREO, Morgan Meadow WMA, 5/16. 2 as of 5/17 (with client).
- 1 Canada Warbler, Morgan Meadow WMA, 5/16.
- 2 Red-eyed Vireos, Morgan Meadow WMA, 5/17 (with client from Maine).
- 60+ total Least Sandpipers, Scarborough Marsh and Pine Point, 5/17 (with client).
- 50+ Common Terns, Pine Point, Scarborough, 5/17 (with client).
- 22 Roseate Terns, Pine Point, 5/17 (with client).
- 150+ Semipalmated Sandpipers, Pine Point, 5/17 (with client).
- 2 Short-billed Dowitchers, Pine Point, 5/17 (with client).
- 3 White-rumped Sandpipers, Pine Point, 5/17 (with client).
- 2 AMERICAN OYSTERCATCHERS, Pine Point, 5/17 (with client).
