Beth Edmonds and I saw four from the end of the park road over the harbor. They landed on one of the several ledges revealed at the 3/4 low tide. Around 2:30 pm.
They could be anywhere but at either side of high tide they are most often on the larger "islands" that are the last to be submerged.
Can also be seen flying over the mudflats at lower tides sometimes looking from the boat launch towards Yarmouth.
They more or less overwinter here yearly.
Barrows Goldeneyes a possibility though we saw few ducks.
