Mount Desert Island Birds: Rusty Blackbird and Red-headed Woodpecker continue
Douglas Point Emery Cove, Hancock, US-ME
Feb 1, 2013 10:45 AM - 11:10 AM
Protocol: Stationary
Comments: Ed and I took little time to watch our Red-headed Woodpecker at its cavity this morning. The bird has been less frequent at the feeder when the owner has been home and spending more time around the cavity and in the vicinity of the cavity tree. Today it was very vocal around me as I photographed from a distance. The bird looks healthy and active.
