I love the old name for our American Wigeon, and there was a nice drake at the 'keag in South Thomaston today. The handsome Iceland Gull near the impoundment at Owl's Head harbor is still around.

As an aside, have we settled on the spelling of "wigeon?" To "d" or not to "d," that is the question!
