The Blue-winged Warbler was still in the same spot at the Bond Brook Rec. Area in Augusta this morning, singing away in the same patch of birch trees and shrubs on the airport slope. A Wilson’s Warbler was heard as well as the usual site-specific good birds there – Prairie Warbler, Eastern Towhee, Indigo Bunting, and Brown Thrasher were all seen/heard.
At the Viles Arboretum at least 3 Canada Warblers were noted, as well as Blackpoll and Magnolia Warblers plus all the local breeders. Willow Flycatchers have returned as well as Eastern Wood-Pewee.
